The shop and ability upgrades: where your souls go
Three item categories, four tiers of 800 to 6,400 souls, investment bonuses and the ability upgrades of every hero: how Deadlock turns souls into power.
01Three categories, four tiers
The shop is split into weapon (orange), vitality (green) and spirit (purple) items. Each category has four tiers with fixed prices: 800, 1,600, 3,200 and 6,400 souls. Weapon items improve your gun, vitality items keep you alive and spirit items make your abilities hit harder, last longer or come back sooner. Some items are active: they take a key and have their own cooldown.

- Tier 1: 800 souls · tier 2: 1,600 · tier 3: 3,200 · tier 4: 6,400.
- Some items upgrade from a cheaper one: the cheaper item's price counts towards the upgrade.
- Hover any item in our shop page to see its exact numbers.
02Investment bonuses
Every soul you spend in a category also raises a bonus for that category, on top of what the items themselves give. The bonus grows in steps with the souls invested, and the biggest jump comes at 4,800 souls: in weapon items it goes from 18 to 46. That is why most builds concentrate their early money in one or two categories instead of spreading it evenly.

03Unlocks and ability points
Your level comes from the souls you collect. Levels 1, 3, 5 and 8 (at 0, 500, 1,400 and 3,200 souls) each give you an unlock to open one of your four abilities; every other level gives an ability point. Each ability then has three upgrades that cost 1, 2 and 5 points (T1, T2 and T3): four unlocks and twelve upgrades, 32 ability points in all, to max a hero. The order matters: our hero pages show the order most played and the one that wins most.

- Unlock the ability that wins your lane first, not the one that looks strongest.
- T3 upgrades cost 5 points: plan which one you rush.
- Key 4 is the ultimate: put points in it when it changes fights.
04Building in phases
Our builds split the shop by phase, the way players actually buy: cheap items for the laning phase, 3,200-soul items for the mid game and 6,400-soul items for the late game, plus situational picks. For every hero we show what is bought most in each phase and the most favorited builds published in the game, with their ID so you can load them directly.
