Overview

Li Li is a healer whose abilities choose their own targets. Healing Brew heals the ally with the lowest health nearby, Blinding Wind hits the closest enemies and makes their basic attacks miss, and Cloud Serpent attaches a serpent to an ally that attacks nearby enemies. Her trait, Fast Feet, gives her speed and faster cooldowns when enemy heroes damage her, which is how she survives being chased. At level 10, Jug of 1,000 Cups channels a stream of heals on the weakest allies, and Water Dragon slows a whole group. She is the easiest healer to learn: her challenge is positioning, not aiming.

Strengths

  • Heals without aiming: Healing Brew always finds the weakest ally.
  • Blinding Wind shuts down basic-attack heroes.
  • Fast Feet makes her hard to catch.
  • Great for learning the healer role.

Weaknesses

  • Jug of 1,000 Cups is a channel: any stun interrupts it.
  • No cleanse or invulnerability to save a target from burst.
  • Fragile against burst mages and divers.

When to use it

The easiest healer build to play well: more mana, stronger heals over time and the heroic that wins long fights. Take it in most games, especially if your team fights around objectives for a long time.

Strategy

1Early game: levels 1–9

Stay with the teammate who is most likely to fight, usually in the lane next to the first objective. Heal only when it matters: Healing Brew has a short cooldown but a real mana cost. Blind the enemy's auto-attackers in trades and throw Cloud Serpent on your laner when they fight minions or heroes. At the first objective, stay behind your team.

  • Heal when it matters, not whenever it is up.
  • Blind the auto-attackers in every trade.

2Mid game: levels 10–16

Jug of 1,000 Cups wins long fights around objectives, but only if you finish the channel. Wait until the enemy has used their stuns and silences, then channel from behind your frontline. Keep Blinding Wind for the auto-attackers diving your backline.

3Late game: levels 16–20

Late fights last longer and hit harder. Blessings Of Yu'lon makes Cloud Serpent a real source of sustain on your frontline, and Jug of 1,000,000 Cups heals two allies at a time. Your biggest contribution is staying alive to the end of the fight.

4Teamfights

Stand behind your frontline and let your abilities pick their targets. When a diver reaches your carry, walk toward them so Blinding Wind hits the diver. Channel Jug after the enemy's crowd control is gone.

Tips

  • Stand at the edge of Healing Brew's range, not in the middle of the fight.
  • Put Cloud Serpent on the ally who is fighting in melee range.
  • Blinding Wind hits the nearest enemies: move so the right ones are closest.
  • Channel Jug of 1,000 Cups only when the enemy's stuns are on cooldown.
  • Use your speed to leave early; a dead healer heals no one.

Matchups

Strong against

  • Blinding Wind cancels her basic attacks, which are most of her damage.

  • Same story: a blinded Raynor deals almost nothing.

  • Blinds turn Minigun into wasted seconds.

Weak against

  • Biotic Grenade stops your healing at the worst moment.

  • Bursts her from stealth before Fast Feet can save her.

  • Reaches her through the frontline and interrupts Jug.

Works well with

  • Cloud Serpent and blinds keep a melee assassin alive in the middle of the enemy team.

  • A bruiser who stays in melee range all fight gets the full value of Cloud Serpent.

Battlegrounds

Strong maps

  • Dragon ShireLong fights around the shrines reward steady healing.
  • Sky TempleFights on the temples drag on, and Jug wins them.

Average maps

  • Towers of Doom
  • Cursed Hollow
  • Infernal Shrines
  • Braxis Holdout
  • Battlefield of Eternity

Weak maps

  • Hanamura TempleShort, bursty fights leave little time to channel Jug.
