1What you do
In Role Queue each team fields two supports: you keep your team alive, enable fights with your utility and add damage whenever your allies are safe.
2Your keys
Every ability with its default PC key:
- primary fire · Biotic Launcher: Three-round burst gun. Lob a healing projectile that heals all allies near the impact.
- Shift · Regenerative Burst · 12 s: Activate to heal yourself and nearby allies instantly, with additional healing over time. Instant heal is doubled for targets less than half health.
- E · Immortality Field · 20 s: Toss a device that prevents allies from dying. The device can be destroyed.
- Q · Amplification Matrix · ultimate: Project a matrix that doubles the damage and healing effects of allied projectiles.
- Exo Boots · passive: Hold crouch to jump higher.
3Perks to start with
During each match you unlock a minor perk and, later, a major perk: one of two options each time. ★ marks this guide's pick.
- ★ Assault Burst: Regenerative Burst now provides Baptiste with 20% increased attack speed for 3 seconds.
- Expanded Field: Immortality Field's radius is 30% bigger.
- ★ Automated Healing: Using any ability triggers Baptiste's Shoulder Turret, periodically firing up to 3 shots at allies, each restoring 40 health.
- Rocket Boots: While airborne from Exo Boots, use SPACE to dash horizontally.
4Mistakes to avoid
- Wandering away from your team and getting picked alone.
- Using your key cooldown before the enemy commits theirs.
Dicas
- Stay where you can see most of your team and have cover nearby.
- Heal the ally that is about to die, not the one who is missing a little health.
- When no one needs healing, shoot: support damage wins fights too.
- Regenerative Burst (Shift) heals: use it before an ally drops too low, not after.
- Amplification Matrix (Q) is your ultimate: plan it with your team's ultimates instead of using it as soon as it's ready.
