1Your job

In Role Queue each team fields two supports: you keep your team alive, enable fights with your utility and add damage whenever your allies are safe.

2Abilities

• primary fire · Xuanwu Staff: Fire a damaging water orb. Hold to control its trajectory and empower its explosion.
• secondary fire · Restorative Stream: Place a passive healing stream on an ally. Hold on the target to manually heal at an improved rate, consuming resource.
• Shift · Rushing Torrent · 8 s: Ride water to move faster and jump higher.
• Q · Tidal Blast · ultimate: Protect an ally or yourself with water that detonates after a short duration. The explosion knocks down enemies and massively heals the host target.
• E · Guardian Wave · 14 s: Send a water wave forward that increases the amount of healing received by allies and knocks back enemies.

3Perks

During each match you unlock a minor perk and, later, a major perk: one of two options each time. ★ marks this guide's pick.

• ★ Balance: When you deal damage with water orbs, increase Restorative Stream's passive healing by 30% for 2 seconds.
• Overflow: Gain 10 ammo and 50% healing resource when Rushing Torrent is activated.
• Ebb and Flow: Guardian Wave rewinds to its starting location.
• ★ Falling Rain: Simultaneously control 3 water orbs that deal 60% decreased damage and have 25% decreased empowered explosion radius.

4Stadium powers

In Stadium you pick up to four powers over the match. These four fit Wuyang best by what their text does:

• Current Confluence: +25% Restorative Stream Duration. Allies affected by Passive Restorative Stream or Guardian Wave's Increased Healing Effect are healed for 30% of damage you deal.
• Flow State: While Rushing Torrent is active, every 50 damage or 75 healing dealt extends the duration of Rushing Torrent by 1s, up to 5s.
• Ripple Sense: Empowered Water Orb can be steered more freely and has 35% increased explosion radius. Every 5s, your next Water Orb will reveal all enemies within 8m on impact for 5s.
• Puddle Stomp: While Rushing Torrent is active, landing from a jump heals all allies within 6m for 75 for every 1s spent falling.

7Common mistakes

• Wandering away from your team and getting picked alone.
• Using your key cooldown before the enemy commits theirs.

• Restorative Stream (secondary fire) heals: use it before an ally drops too low, not after.
• Rushing Torrent (Shift) moves you: if you spend it to engage, you won't have it to escape.
• Tidal Blast (Q) is your ultimate: plan it with your team's ultimates instead of using it as soon as it's ready.
• Stay where you can see most of your team and have cover nearby.
• Heal the ally that is about to die, not the one who is missing a little health.
