More Anduin guides
This guide is assembled by the site from match data and the game's own information — nobody wrote it by hand. Official and community guides appear alongside it when they exist.
Overview
Anduin is a ranged Healer in Heroes of the Storm. In this guide you play it as Healer: your job is to keep your team alive, avoid the enemy dive and add utility. The kit brings crowd control (root) with Chastise and sustain with Flash Heal. At level 10 you choose between the heroics Lightbomb and Holy Word: Salvation.
Strengths
- Heals itself, which keeps it in lane longer.
- Heals allies: keeps the team in fights.
- Brings utility that helps the whole team.
- Crowd control: Chastise applies a root.
Weaknesses
- Mana-hungry: Blizzard flags its energy as important, so manage it early.
- No escape tools: vulnerable when divers reach it.
- First target for the enemy dive.

Strategy
1Early game
Early, soak experience in a lane, stay close to your team and don't waste mana healing chip damage. Let your laning partner trade and heal after, not during: a healer that runs out of mana early loses the objective.
- Early talents: Power Word: Shield and Piercing Light.
2Mid game
At level 10, Holy Word: Salvation and Lightbomb change what your team can do: pick the one that answers the enemy's plan.
- Heroics: Lightbomb and Holy Word: Salvation.
3Late game
Late, you're the enemy's first target: stay behind your frontline and never walk into fog alone.
- Level 20: Varian's Legacy.
4Team fights
Heal the teammate under pressure, not the one with the lowest bar, and keep Flash Heal for burst moments.
Tips
- Keep Flash Heal for the enemy's burst, not for small damage.
- Choose between Holy Word: Salvation and Lightbomb after seeing the enemy team.
- Arrive at map objectives and mercenary camps before they start: the team that is there first chooses the fight.
- Before each fight, check which key abilities the enemy has available.
