Qhira Early Game Guide

5.7KUpdated

This guide is assembled by the site from match data and the game's own information — nobody wrote it by hand. Official and community guides appear alongside it when they exist.

Overview

Early, soak experience and look for isolated enemies around the map. Your damage is highest against heroes who can't escape. Early, look for picks around map objectives and mercenary camps: a kill before the objective wins it.

Strengths

  • Can hold a lane alone.
  • Has escape tools, according to Blizzard's own hero tags.
  • Strong gank potential around the map.

Weaknesses

  • Melee range: ranged heroes can poke it freely.
  • Relies on basic attacks: blinds and armor hurt its damage.
  • Has to dive in to deal damage, so it needs follow-up.

Strategy

1Early talents

The first three talent tiers (levels 1, 4 and 7) set up how you soak and trade. The early build below leans on survivability to win that phase.

  • Picks: Finishing Touch and Ensnaring Swing.

2Trading

Trade when you can reach the enemy with your full combo; half a combo just gives them a free hit. The kit brings crowd control (stun) with Revolving Sweep and sustain with Blood Rage.

3Soaking and rotations

Soaking is the laning phase: stay in range of your minion waves, rotate between lanes so none is left empty and group before each objective spawns.

4Early objectives

Early, look for picks around map objectives and mercenary camps: a kill before the objective wins it. Your big moments are level 10, when you pick Unrelenting Strikes or Final Strike, and level 20, when the heroic gets its upgrade.

Tips

  • Trade when you can reach the enemy with your full combo; half a combo just gives them a free hit.
  • Finishing Touch is your first purchase that changes the lane: get it early.
  • Use Revolving Sweep in lane only when your partner or jungler can follow.
  • Early, look for picks around map objectives and mercenary camps: a kill before the objective wins it.

Matchups

Strong against

  • Blizzard classifies Tracer as a Ranged Assassin: once Qhira is on top of them, that distance stops mattering.

  • Blizzard classifies Tychus as a Ranged Assassin: once Qhira is on top of them, that distance stops mattering.

  • Blizzard classifies Valla as a Ranged Assassin: once Qhira is on top of them, that distance stops mattering.

Weak against

  • Rexxar fights at range and Qhira is melee with no dash in the kit to close the gap.

  • Nova fights at range and Qhira is melee with no dash in the kit to close the gap.

  • Lunara fights at range and Qhira is melee with no dash in the kit to close the gap.
