Introdução
Junkrat is a specialist damage hero in Overwatch with 250 health. In competitive this season (PC, Americas, Europe and Asia averaged) it wins 50.8% of its games, is picked by 8.7% of teams and banned in 3.2% of matches: tier B on our ladder. It wins 49.6% of games in Bronze and 51.4% in Grandmaster: it gets much better with practice, so expect a learning curve.

1What you do
In Role Queue each team fields two damage heroes: you secure eliminations, pressure the enemy supports and turn the numbers advantage your tank creates into won fights.
2Your keys
Every ability with its default PC key:
- primary fire · Frag Launcher: Bouncing explosive projectile weapon.
- Shift · Concussion Mine · 7 s: Throw a knockback mine with LSHIFT then detonate it with ABILITY 1.
- E · Steel Trap · 10 s: Place an immobilizing trap.
- Q · RIP-Tire · ultimate: Drive and detonate an exploding tire.
- Total Mayhem · passive: Deals no damage to self with explosives. Drop bombs on death.
3Perks to start with
During each match you unlock a minor perk and, later, a major perk: one of two options each time. ★ marks this guide's pick.
- ★ Bomb Voyage: After launching with Concussion Mine, Junkrat gains 35% increased attack speed for 3 seconds.
- Nitro Boost: During RIP-Tire, use LSHIFT to gain a quick boost of speed. Doing so reduces RIP-Tire's damage by 50%.
- ★ Frag Cannon: Frag Launcher's projectile speed is increased by 25%.
- Mine Recycling: Eliminations with Concussion Mine restore one charge.
4Mistakes to avoid
- Trading shots with the enemy tank while the enemy backline goes untouched.
- Staying on an angle after it's been found and focused.
Dicas
- Pick your angle before the fight starts: a second line of fire splits the enemy's attention.
- Focus the same target as your team; spread damage gets healed.
- Track the enemy supports' cooldowns and punish them when they're gone.
- RIP-Tire (Q) is your ultimate: plan it with your team's ultimates instead of using it as soon as it's ready.
