In Role Queue each team fields one tank: you take space for your team, soak the damage the enemy would otherwise aim at your backline and decide when the fight starts.
2Your keys

- primary fire · Scrap Gun: Short-range spread weapon. Medium-range projectile that explodes into the weapon's short-range primary fire.
- Shift · Chain Hook · 7 s: Drag a targeted enemy to you.
- E · Take a Breather · 1.25 s: Heal yourself and reduce damage taken.
- Q · Whole Hog · ultimate: Damage and knock back enemies in front of you.
3Perks to start with
During each match you unlock a minor perk and, later, a major perk: one of two options each time. ★ marks this guide's pick.
- ★ Scrap Hook: Chain Hook hits reload 2 ammo.
- Shrapnel Launcher: Extend the range of Scrap Gun's secondary fire by 50% and tighten its burst spread by 25%.
- ★ Hogdrogen Exposure: Take A Breather also heals nearby allies for 50% of its healing.
- Pulled Pork: Gain overhealth based on how far you pull enemies with Chain Hook, up to 300.
4Mistakes to avoid
- Pushing into five enemies without your team behind you.
- Taking duels far from your supports.
Dicas
- Walk ahead of your team but not so far that your supports lose line of sight.
- Spend your defensive cooldowns on the damage that would kill you, not on chip damage.
- You are the only tank: dying first usually loses the fight, so back off before you have to.
- Take a Breather (E) heals: use it before an ally drops too low, not after.
- Whole Hog (Q) is your ultimate: plan it with your team's ultimates instead of using it as soon as it's ready.
