This guide is assembled by the site from match data and the game's own information — nobody wrote it by hand. Official and community guides appear alongside it when they exist.

Overview

Killjoy is a sentinel in Valorant. The genius of Germany, Killjoy effortlessly secures key battlefield positions with her arsenal of inventions. If their damage doesn't take her enemies out, the debuff her robots provide will make short work of them. Riot publishes no match data for Valorant, so nothing here is a win rate: it is what each kit brings, read from the abilities themselves.

Strengths

  • Brings traps and set-ups: Nanoswarm (C), ALARMBOT (Q) and TURRET (E).
  • Brings damage: Nanoswarm (C) and ALARMBOT (Q).

Weaknesses

  • No slows in the kit, which a sentinel usually has: lean on your team for it.
  • No information (reveals enemies) in the kit, which a sentinel usually has: lean on your team for it.
  • No ability that reveals enemies: your information comes from teammates and sound.

When to use it

Strategy

1What the team needs next to you

Killjoy does not bring vision-blocking smoke, blind, information (reveals enemies) and healing: pick teammates who do.

  • Astra: Brings vision-blocking smoke with Nebula / Dissipate (E), which Killjoy's kit does not have.
  • Breach: Brings blind with Flashpoint (Q), which Killjoy's kit does not have.
  • Fade: Brings information (reveals enemies) with Prowler (C), which Killjoy's kit does not have.
  • Miks: Brings healing with M-pulse (C), which Killjoy's kit does not have.

Tips

  • Change your set-up every few rounds: a predictable trap gets destroyed before it does anything.
