As a healer, your job is to keep the group alive through every pack and boss mechanic while adding damage when there is room.

  • At the start of a pull, top the tank up and pre-place your healing-over-time: the first seconds are the most dangerous.
  • Between spikes, spend mana efficiently and add damage: healers who also deal damage are what time high keys.

5Common mistakes

  • Healing through damage that someone should have dodged: tell them, don't just burn mana.
  • Standing in avoidable damage: in high keys and raid bosses, avoidable damage is what wipes groups, not the healer.
  • Holding personal defensives until it is too late: use one the moment a big hit is announced.
  • Ignoring the interrupt rotation: every uninterrupted dangerous cast is damage your healer has to fix.
