Night Stalker in Turbo

TurboData-drivenMediumPatch 7.41
2.1KUpdated

This guide is assembled by the site from match data and the game's own information — nobody wrote it by hand. Official and community guides appear alongside it when they exist.

Overview

Turbo is regular Dota sped up: more gold and experience, faster respawns and a quicker courier. Games are shorter, so early fights matter more and the late game comes sooner. In Turbo fights start almost immediately: rush Blink Dagger and initiate as soon as your team is grouped.

Strengths

  • Reliable stun: Void sets up kills and interrupts enemy channels.
  • Heavy magical burst: Valve lists it as a Nuker.
  • Valve tags Night Stalker as Durable: it stays in fights longer than most heroes.

Weaknesses

  • No escape in the kit: without good positioning and vision, Night Stalker is easy to catch.
  • Melee: has to walk up to its target, which makes the lane harder against ranged heroes.

When to use it

Strategy

1What changes

Turbo is regular Dota sped up: more gold and experience, faster respawns and a quicker courier. Games are shorter, so early fights matter more and the late game comes sooner.

2Build adjustments

Turbo gives more gold and faster respawns: skip most laning items and go straight for your core, then the damage items.

3Fighting

You go in first: land Void on as many heroes as you can and soak the spells your carry fears. In Turbo fights start almost immediately: rush Blink Dagger and initiate as soon as your team is grouped.

Tips

  • In Turbo fights start almost immediately: rush Blink Dagger and initiate as soon as your team is grouped.
  • Use Dark Ascension in every big fight: in this mode there's always another one coming.
  • Don't chase alone: the enemy is always grouped.
  • Buy your core items first: in Turbo you get them much earlier.
